Mission: These courses are designed to prepare students for the world of graphic communications via web and traditional formats along with business and entrepreneurship through project-based activities. Creating print and web documents for local non-profit organizations.

Course description: The topics covered in this course will include forms of communication and design as well as research on sources of capital, financial, and logistical considerations necessary to starting a business.

Also covered will be personal presentation skills, centering on the importance of image and message. The course is intended to improve organization and management skills, as well as cover the steps necessary to deal successfully with clients.

Topics include Dreamweaver, HTML, Flash, Fireworks and Adobe Creative Suite 3 (CS3). New technologies will be discussed and investigated as the year proceeds, including the possibility of studying IBM Mainframe computer technologies.

Course Schedules:
Courses 608 and 609 meet four periods per week.

All classes meet in Room 188.

Prerequisites: An interview conducted in February for all courses, enrollment, and instructor approval.
